Professional Pitchers #GoHead2Head to #CancelChildhoodCancer

Blog |

This September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, professional pitchers across the nation are taking the mound to strike out childhood cancer.

Life throws many curve balls, but few are as devastating as hearing your child has been diagnosed with cancer. At the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), we are working each day to fund a cure for pediatric brain tumors, the deadliest and most common form of cancer in kids under 15, and to support families throughout their child’s brain tumor journey. As a signature fundraising campaign of the PBTF, Vs. Cancer partners with athletes across the nation throughout the year to change the game for kids with cancer.

During September, Vs. Cancer is teaming up with professional pitchers who are passionate about the mission to end pediatric brain cancer. Each of these outstanding athletes will be asking fans and supporters to pledge a donation to the PBTF for every strikeout they throw during the month of September. When contributing, donors will have the opportunity to pledge per strikeout or make a one-time donation to support the cause. Visit pledgeit.org/for/gohead2head to see a full list of participating pitchers and to donate.

Brain tumors are the deadliest form of cancer in children and the most common cancer in kids under 15. Finding a cure won’t be easy, but with the support of these professional athletes, PBTF is able to #GoHead2Head with childhood cancer.
